Nine years ago, The Wine Boutique introduced the City of Madison to the first in store wine bar and the first hand-selected Wine Of The Month Club. The Wine Boutique has embraced these three words that were key to our business then and still are today: knowledge, service, and passion. All of our staff at The Wine Boutique believes that wine education is just as important as wine appreciation. We educate our customers on a daily basis in the store and also at events we host off premise. Our premier Wine Of the Month Club has grown to over 350 members currently! Our talented staff personally chooses each wine for our club members. Whether they need one twelve dollar bottle a month or a case of twenty dollar selections, our goal is the same: to take them on a meaningful wine journey by introducing them to new styles and hidden values which one may not find on ones own.
Our popular bi-weekly wine tastings have given our customers the opportunity to meet master sommeliers and winemakers from across the country. After nearly a decade of experience organizing these tastings, The Wine Boutique continues to introduce the public to new varietals, engaging vintners, and rare, exceptional wines. We have tasted everything from single malt Scotches to exquisite French Champagnes to verticals of Chateau de Beaucastel’s Chateauneaf du Pape. The wines tasted at these events are often paired with local artisanal cheeses and gourmet chocolates, all of which can be purchased at The Wine Boutique.
Besides our wine tastings, we host wine dinners, educational wine classes, and Riedel stemware seminars. The world of wine is constantly changing and our staff enjoys keeping our customers informed of the latest trends in the wine world. It is very exciting to see people discovering wine for the first time. Our level of service extends far beyond helping someone pick out that special bottle. When you buy a bottle of wine you are also purchasing a unique part of viticulture history. We frequently provide food and cheese pairing information, offer tips on cellaring, and share travel tips for those customers who are visiting the wine country, both in California and overseas. We love hearing about how that special birthday dinner turned out or discussing what wineries were visited while on that trip to Provence. In fact, some of our very customers have introduced us to some fabulous wines and great restaurants from across the country.
In addition to stocking a wide variety of wine from around the world, The Wine Boutique carries an extensive line of Riedel stemware and decanters, U-line three temperature zone refrigeration units, designer corkscrews, and unique wine racks. We can arrange any type of gift basket or wine crate to suit your budget and tastes.

WINE PREMIERE

Wine Premiere makes Green Bay, Wisconsin a Wine Lover’s Destination! Wine Premiere is a unique wine shoppe, featuring Weekly Wine-Tasting Events and a Wine of the Month Club. Owned by Andrew and Therese Woelfel, Wine Premiere features over 700 specialty wine labels from all over the world, most of which are not found elsewhere in Brown County. Price ranges are from $6 to over $200 per bottle, with the majority of the wine priced between $8 and $15 per bottle.

“Wine Premiere offers a unique wine experience,” explains Therese Woelfel. “We’ve become a wine lovers hang out – where our customers drink wine while they shop!” “Our Thursday evening Wine-Tasting Events give people the opportunity to mingle with other wine lovers, while they enhance their understanding and appreciation for wine.”

In addition, Wine Premiere, offers a Wine of the Month Club, where wines are personally selected to match the customer’s palate, as well as their price range. The focus is always on fun and education. “Our business philosophy is…if it’s not fun, we don’t do it” shares Woelfel. “We refuse to be snobby about wine!”

The staff at Wine Premiere is very knowledgeable. They assist each customer in selecting the wine that is perfect for them. “We’ve tasted every one of our wines at least once. It’s important that we truly understand the flavor components of each wine, so we can assist our customers in selecting the wine they wish to experience. Many of our customers bring us their gourmet dinner menus, so we can help them pair wine with each course. It’s pretty exciting!” Wine Premiere also specializes in wine accessories, gourmet food products and very unique gift baskets.

Wine Premiere also hosts private parties at the store. Customers can “rent” the store for entertainment. Some of the more popular events include: An Evening in Italy; Down Under in Australia; Big Red Night and Around the World. Again, the focus is on fun and the wine experience.

The Green Bay community has been very supportive of Wine Premiere. Green Bay is made up of a diverse group of wine drinkers – ranging from beginners to wine connoisseurs who have traveled the world to experience wine. “Whatever your background, you’ll find something of interest at Wine Premiere!” states Woelfel.
